I'm tied in to Google and may use any of their services at any time.  Frankly I haven't figure out yet where I'm going with this blog or what I'll ultimately use for it.  If Google products track you, this may include what goes on here on this site.

I personally (and professionally) have no intention of gathering any specific user information.  If you post a question here, I'll gladly answer it, and I may even remember your handle in the future.  That's about as far as it goes.  I don't really care who you are or what you do on the 'net, I just care about helping you to understand software development a little better.

I do what I can to avoid offensive ads, based on my own personal definition.  That's as far as I'll take it.

Google seems to want me to say the following, so here goes:

  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website.
  • Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick cookie for interest-based advertising by visiting Ads Settings.(Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for interest based advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
As for how effective opting out is, I cannot really say.

And that's all I have to say about that.  I'm no attorney, and I certainly didn't hire one for this.
